With each
step, a fresh breeze arises. By

Gone with the wind ?
Wind moves things when it hits them, and this is
how we recognize wind.
When things move, wind is generated.
Could the sound of a wind chime be the sound of
the wind?
A pleasant breeze on sweaty skin,
the leaves of the various trees whispering to each
other,
shining and flashing in the sunlight.
This is the state of the body and mind that is
unfolding right now.
A step is the immediately here-and-now.
Here is pure activity that transcends the human thoughts.
In the latter part of the Genjo koan, there is a
passage in which Zen Master Hotetsu of Mayoku is moving a fan. "He is just
using the fan,” it says.
